About The Band
TRIED and True is a newly formed musical group from Strathmore, a small community 30 minutes East of Calgary.
But being new together certainly does not imply 'new at what they do'.
On the contrary, these six musicians each bring their unique style and seasoned repertoire to the stage, culminating years of experience.
Individually, all the TRIED and True band members have performance experience as solo artists or in other group acts.
Drawing on those strengths they are able to customize the band's formation to appeal to any size venue or event and still deliver the same great musicianship to a small private function or large concert.

TRIED and True members share a deep passion for the classic songs garnered across diverse genres and era's. Blending close harmonies and skilful musicality on multiple instruments, allows their characteristic differences to become the featured strength of the band’s sound.
Blending folk, bluegrass, country, pop, blues or rock, whatever style they play, it's obvious they are having fun performing together and their audiences respond warmly to their relaxed stage presence and sway along to the rhythms.

A unique characteristic of The TRIED and True Band is their presentations of Gospel Concerts to great success.
Like so many of the artists and legends we have all grown to appreciate, several members from this band were first inspired and developed their love for music in churches and choirs, and has a huge influence on who they are as people!​
